Questions about fractional HR, hourly rates, bank of hours, retainers, notary services, and how it all works.
What is fractional HR and how is it different from hiring a full time HR person?
Fractional HR means you get a seasoned HR professional working for your business on a part time or as needed basis, without the full time salary, benefits, and overhead. A full time HR manager in Las Vegas typically costs $60,000 to $90,000 per year. With fractional HR, you pay only for what you actually need. It is ideal for small and mid sized businesses that need HR support but are not ready for a full time hire.
What are my options and how do I choose the right one?
Hourly is pay as you go. You request support, we work, you pay for time used. Great for one-off projects or when your needs are unpredictable.
Prepaid hour block is a set number of hours purchased upfront, valid for 12 months from purchase. You use them as needed. Good if you know you will need ongoing support but not on a fixed monthly schedule.
Retainer is a monthly commitment. You get a set number of hours per month, consistent support, and priority response times. Best for businesses with regular ongoing HR needs.
What is the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2 hourly rates?
Tier 1 at $65 per hour covers basic HR work: document formatting and creation, policy writing, onboarding administration, employee file audits, compliance checklists, offer letters, job descriptions, and reference or background check coordination.
Tier 2 at $100 per hour covers complex HR work requiring deeper expertise: employee relations and conflict resolution, compensation analysis, HR strategy, complex compliance matters, workplace investigations, and termination documentation and support.
If your project spans both tiers, we will let you know the breakdown upfront before any work begins.
How do prepaid hour blocks work?
You purchase a prepaid block of hours upfront. Tier 1 is 8 hours for $500 and covers basic HR work. Tier 2 is 10 hours for $1,000 and covers complex HR work. Once purchased, those hours are yours to use anytime over the next 12 months. You submit requests as you need support and we draw from your balance. We track your hours and let you know when your balance is running low so you can decide whether to buy another block or move to a retainer. Hours do not roll over past the 12 month window.
Do you offer on site support?
Yes, with some conditions. On site support is included in the Strategic Retainer tier (20 or more hours per month at $1,500 per month) at no extra charge. For hourly clients who need on site support, a travel fee applies. The fee is quoted upfront based on your location before any work begins, so there are no surprises. Prepaid hour block clients can also request on site support with the same travel fee applied. All other retainer tiers (Essentials and Growth) are remote only unless you upgrade to Strategic.
What does the retainer include and what happens if I go over my hours?
Each retainer tier comes with a set range of hours per month plus specific deliverables and response time commitments. Hours do not roll over month to month. If you go over your included hours in a given month, overages are billed at your tier hourly rate with prior approval. We will never bill overage hours without letting you know first.
All retainers require a 3 month minimum commitment and 30 days written notice to cancel.
Do you replace my HR department or work alongside them?
Both. For businesses with no internal HR, we can act as your full HR function remotely. For businesses that have an internal HR person or team, we can step in to handle overflow, special projects, or areas outside their expertise. We work the way that fits your structure.
What areas do you cover for mobile notary?
We serve Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and surrounding areas in the Las Vegas Valley. Travel fee is $25 and is disclosed before your appointment is confirmed. For locations outside the standard service area, reach out and we will let you know if we can accommodate.
What documents can you notarize?
We can notarize most standard documents including powers of attorney, affidavits, real estate documents, financial documents, employment agreements, consent forms, and more. We cannot provide legal advice on what a document means or whether you should sign it. If you have legal questions about a document, consult a licensed attorney.
How long does apostille coordination take?
Turnaround depends on the destination country and document type. State-level apostilles for Hague Convention countries typically take 5 to 15 business days depending on the state. Non-Hague destinations requiring embassy legalization can take significantly longer. We give you a realistic timeline when we review your specific job and keep you updated throughout the process.
Questions about brand audits, brand identity, website builds, business formation, and what to expect when working with us.
What is a brand audit and do I need one?
A brand audit is a professional review of your existing brand presence, including your logo, colors, fonts, messaging, voice, and online presence. We deliver a written report with specific recommendations on what is working, what is not, and what to prioritize. If you already have some branding but are not sure why it is not converting or do not feel like it represents you well, a brand audit is the right starting point. You also get a $50 credit toward any branding service if you book within 30 days of your audit.
What is included in Brand Identity Development?
Brand Identity Development at $250 includes: custom logo design in light and dark versions (SVG files, scalable to any size), a full color palette, font pairing recommendations, a brand voice guide (how you sound in writing), a one page brand style guide you can share with anyone who creates content for you, and a business card design. Everything delivered as files you own and can use anywhere.
How long does a website build take?
A standalone website build (for clients who already have a brand) typically takes 5 to 7 business days from the time we have everything we need from you. The Mini Startup Branding Package, which includes both brand and website, also targets a 5 to 7 business day delivery. Timeline can vary based on how quickly you provide content, feedback, and approvals.
What do I need to have ready before you build my website?
For a standalone website build, you should already have your brand in place (logo, colors, fonts). We will also need your service descriptions, any photos you want to use, your contact information, and any specific pages or sections you want included. We will walk you through a simple intake process when you book so nothing falls through the cracks.
Do you build websites on a platform like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace?
We build custom HTML websites that you upload directly to your hosting provider. This means your site is fast, lightweight, and not dependent on any monthly platform subscription beyond your hosting. You own the files completely. If you specifically need a WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace build, reach out and we can discuss your situation.
What is the difference between the Foundation Package, Full Launch Package, and Mini Startup Branding Package?
Foundation Package ($299) covers the legal and operational basics: business formation guidance, EIN assistance, compliance checklist, and new hire setup for your first employee. It is the business setup package, not a branding package.
Full Launch Package ($499) includes everything in Foundation plus HR infrastructure templates: employee handbook, offer letter, onboarding checklist, and a policy template.
Mini Startup Branding Package ($799) is the done for you brand and web build: custom logo, full website, domain setup, up to 2 professional email addresses, and basic SEO. This is where your business goes from invisible to visible. Available in 2 payments of $400.
Can I do a payment plan for the Mini Startup Branding Package?
Yes. The Mini Startup Branding Package is $799 total, available in 2 payments of $400. First payment is due to start the project and second payment is due before final delivery. We do not begin work until the first payment is received.
What types of businesses do you help with formation?
We provide guidance for LLCs, sole proprietorships, corporations (including S-corp and C-corp), and nonprofit organizations. We assist with EIN applications, articles of incorporation preparation, registered agent coordination, and business license identification. We are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice, but we can walk you through the process and help you understand your options. For complex or multi-state entity matters, we recommend consulting a business attorney alongside our services.
What is not included in your pricing?
Government fees are always separate from our service fees and disclosed upfront. This includes state filing fees (which vary by state), registered agent fees, domain registration costs, and hosting subscription fees. We never mark up third party fees. What you see in our pricing is our fee for the work we do, not a bundle that hides other costs.
Do you do social media or marketing?
Social media management and paid marketing are not services we offer. Our lane is brand identity and the foundational online presence: who you are, what you look like, and where you live online. We are happy to discuss referrals to trusted partners for social media and marketing during a discovery call.
